Hi

My name is Steven Lucas and I'm the counsellor at The Nightingale Clinic.

I developed a passion for listening early on in life, often being referred to by friends as a "good sounding board". I went on to study Psychology at college, and then completed my Counselling Certificates in Northampton, and my Diploma in Counselling with Oxford College.

I'm a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and in more recent years I joined the Samaritans as a volunteer.

I often find that people bottle up their feelings, and this can be emotionally draining. The therapeutic relationship can help you to deal with past and present conflicts, and gain a fresh perspective on life. I've always been passionate about the therapeutic relationship, and the emotional benefits it can provide.
