My name is Roshmi and I am delighted to join The Nightingale Clinic as an Arts Psychotherapist.

I've always been passionate about the arts, and spent many years working with The Arts Council of England setting up tours for musicians and dance and drama companies. Not being an artist or performer myself, it was as a spectator that I first became aware of the transforming capacity of the arts.

At the same time, I became interested in psychotherapy, and was fascinated by the notion that there existed a space in which I could safely express the most profound feelings intrinsic to human experience. I then discovered a training course which combined these two passions, and a new way of life was born.

I trained and qualified with The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education in London. Since qualifying, I've worked within GP practices, counselling services, fostering agencies and corporate companies amongst others. I've dealt with issues such as low self esteem, depression, trauma, abuse, relationship difficulties, addiction and anxiety.

I'm registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and have been practicing according to their code of ethics since 1999.

I'm also a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I have over 1000 hours of psychotherapy practice.
