Anthony Helm (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy / CBT)- Dip HE Nursing, PG Dip
Hello
My name is Helm and I'm the Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) at The Nightingale Clinic.
I've been using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) for the last seven years to help people with a variety of different problems.
I've worked in the NHS, in independent, private and voluntary settings and have spent over 11 years working in mental health environments.
Although I'm from Northamptonshire and I started working locally, I studied at the University of Stirling, in Scotland, where I qualified as a mental health nurse (RMN). As part of my continuing professional development, I studied CBT at the University of Birmingham and since then I've have since worked solely as a therapist with individual clients and in group therapy.
My areas of speciality include working with people who experience high levels of anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, obsessive and compulsive problems, as well as depression, low self-esteem and social phobia (shyness).
I've also worked in the past with people who have sexual problems, post-traumatic stress, anger, eating issues, addictions and have problems with deliberate self harm (DSH).
As a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, I'm accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP).
For more details or to book a session, please contact me (Helm), either by email on
