Complementary Health and Beauty Clinic in Earls Barton, Northampton, Northamptonshire
We offer one of the latest (and most popular) treatments for removing frown lines, forehead wrinkles or crows feet.
By injecting a very fine needle containing a muscle relaxant into the wrinkles selected for treatment, it temporarily acts on the nerves of the facial muscles to relax them, so that they no longer crease or cause wrinkles.
The treatment is performed quickly and easily at our clinic. No anaesthetic is required, although a topical anaesthetic cream can be used if advised.
Areas commonly treated include:
This treatment is particularly useful for those patients who have a tendency to frown and to look 'cross' for no reason and gives the forehead and eye area a nice, fresh, wide-awake look.
Wrinkle relaxing injections also work particularly well when combined with a dermal filler (Restylane™).

These are some of the more common questions we are asked.
The great advantage of the materials we use is that they are long lasting - but not permanent.
Wrinkle relaxing injections usually last between 3 to 6 months.
First, your consultant will take a complete medical history to determine if you are a good candidate for treatment, and if so, with what material.
He will then perform a complete facial examination, to determine which areas of your face may benefit from these treatments.
The most common areas treated are the frown lines betewen the eyebrows, the horizontal forehead lines and the crows feet around the eyes.
Our wrinkle relaxing injections produce a more youthful and rested appearance, doing away with the lines and wrinkles that form on parts of the face.
When performed properly, such as by our consultant oculoplastic surgeon, it does not produce an artificial appearance.
There is a small pinch for about 5 seconds. We use tiny, special needles to minimise discomfort.
Most patients toleate this quite comfortably. Cold compresses and anaesthetic cream can also be used to numb the skin if required.
Treatments generally take between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment and the individual being treated.
Yes, absolutely. Treatment is a very simple procedure, which allows you to return home immediately afterwards.
Following treatment, most people can ideally return to their normal activities.
The only restrictions are that they should not have a facial massage or any other activity which may apply pressure to the face for twenty-four hours.
Make-up can be applied immediately after the treatment and patients may resume their activities with little, if any, sign they have had something done.
There can be a small area of swelling at the injection sites, which typically goes away in 1 or 2 hours if it occurs.
Treatment may leave a red mark for a few minutes where injected.. The mark disappears within an hour.
