Complementary Health and Beauty Clinic in Earls Barton, Northampton, Northamptonshire
The skin's natural beauty is derived from water, which gives our skin the vitality, resiliance and suppleness we have in youth.
Over time, lines can appear in the face that are still visible even when the face is relaxed.
Volume enhancers and dermal fillers like Restylane™ work by replacing and enhancing the skins own, natural hyaluronic acid.
This helps to retain more moisture, restoring the skin's fullness in a natural and long-lasting way.
The areas Restylane™ is most commonly used for include:
The dermal filler we use (Restylane™) is derived from water (in other words, not collagen or other animal-derived products), and does not require any skin test.
Restylane™ works particularly well when combined with our wrinkle relaxing injections.

These are some of the more common questions we are asked.
The great advantage of the materials we use is that they are long lasting - but not permanent.
A dermal filler like Restylane™ usually lasts between 6 to 12 months.
First, your consultant will take a complete medical history to determine if you are a good candidate for treatment, and if so, with what material.
He will then perform a complete facial examination, to determine which areas of your face may benefit from these treatments.
The most common areas treated are the frown lines betewen the eyebrows, the horizontal forehead lines, the crows feet around the eyes and lines around the mouth.
On occasion, some other areas may be treated as well.
A dermal filler like Restylane™ produces a more youthful and rested appearance, doing away with the lines and wrinkles that form on parts of the face.
When performed properly, such as by our consultant oculoplastic surgeon, it does not produce an artificial appearance.
There is a small pinch for about 5 seconds. We use tiny, special needles to minimise discomfort.
Most patients toleate this quite comfortably. Cold compresses and anaesthetic cream can also be used to numb the skin if required.
Treatments generally take between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment and the individual being treated.
Yes, absolutely. Treatment is a very simple procedure, which allows you to return home immediately afterwards.
Following treatment, most people can ideally return to their normal activities.
The only restrictions are that they should not have a facial massage or any other activity which may apply pressure to the face for twenty-four hours.
Make-up can be applied immediately after the treatment and patients may resume their activities with little, if any, sign they have had something done.
There can be a small area of swelling at the injection sites, which typically goes away in 1 or 2 hours if it occurs.
Treatment may leave a red mark for a few minutes where injected.. The mark disappears within an hour.
